Another tip I learned while training as a skin professional is how to get the red out of your blemish.  We all hate that bright red which just draws attention to the offender on our face.  You can reduce the red by simply applying a bit of Visine eye drops on the blemish.  It contains ingredients that constrict blood vessels thereby reducing the redness.
