Cathy is a board certified aesthetician in NM and CA with 18 years experience in the salon/spa industry. She is a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals and has taken advanced training in several areas including skin resurfacing, anti-aging, ingredient chemistry, nutrition, and others. As a spa owner, she regularly attends continuing education courses, conferences, and subscribes to numerous industry trade journals. And, with the help of her Ph.D. chemist husband, is constantly researching the latest products, ingredients, equipment, and treatments.

Her interest in skin care began during the teen years while experiencing the normal skin issues of that age.  She also spent many hours in the sun which resulted in extensive damage as well as numerous abnormal and pre-cancerous growths.  In her early 40's, the premature aging was starting to show and she wanted alternatives to surgery to "turn back the clock".   After years of studying skin health, sun damage, anti-aging, nutrition, ingredients, and numerous medical studies associated with these topics, she developed the Comprehensive Oxidation Management Program (COMP) and incorporated it in her spa.
